That's a nice social boundary you've got there.
Would be a shame if something… happened to it.

Filled with inappropriate, deeply controversial, philosophical, and vulnerable inquiries, this deck of unusual questions will keep your night full of nervous laughter and your relationships somewhat distressing.

This is no casual icebreaker deck — use with caution.

If you had to fuck a cow, would you rather it be dead or alive?

What viewpoint is the most difficult for you to empathize with?

Are some human lives worth more than others?

Did your parents do a good job?

What experience, though difficult or painful, would you recommend to everyone?

Does "no" always really mean "no"?

What are the signs that someone really understands you, uniquely?

If everyone in the room were arranged on a spectrum of attractiveness, which two people would you be between?

Not just any old questions - these juicy specimens were handpicked from a pool of thousands of questions after years of research and playtesting. The selection criteria favored questions most likely to:

• Split respondents answers 50/50
• Generate lengthy discussion
• Generate discomfort when answering
• Generate different answers depending on gender
• Require novel (as opposed to cached) thought in order to produce an answer

Why

Because questions are not answers, and by themselves have no agenda.

Because the scarier the question, the more it should be asked.

Because curiosity is the path to understanding others and ourselves.

The Grid
For 2-10 people
Place a 5x5 grid of cards face-down on a table, each column consisting of a different color/category. Take turns drawing and answering one card at a time, Jeopardy!-style, until none remain.

Social Mixer
For 10+ people
Everyone draws one question. When you encounter someone, ask them your question, and they ask you theirs. After you both answer, trade questions, move along to a new partner, and repeat.

Askhole
For 3-6 people
Appoint an Askhole. The Askhole draws the same number of cards as there are people in the group (including the Askhole) and, after looking at them, distributes them face down, one per person. One by one, everyone flips their card and answers their question — Askhole included. Then choose a new Askhole and repeat!
